South Asia is located in the southern region of Asia. South Asia is located in the Northern and the Eastern hemisphere. It is located to the southwest of China. The main country in south Asia is India. Other countries include Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The Land/ Climate
In South Asia, they don't have a lot of elevation. In India, there is a slight elevation throughout the whole country. In the northern part of this region there is big spike in elevation. There is a big spike here because the Himalaya mountain region is located here. South Asia's climate consists mostly of 5 different climates. In India, the main two climates are humid subtropical and tropical wet and dry. While in the northwest part of this region the main two climates are arid and semiarid.
Culture
The main religion in South Asia is Hinduism and Islam Sunni. In India most of the people practice Hinduism. While the people in Afghanistan and Pakistan practice Islam, the Sunni branch. The majority of people in south Asia live on the eastern region in India. Not very many people live in the northern part of south Asia, because of the mountain range that is located there. The major sport in south Asia is soccer, along with most of the Asian countries.
Economy and Human Environment Interaction
In South Asia, they trade a lot with China. Some of the things they trade are spice and shells, these are the things that they send to China. Some things that they get from China are ceramics, silk, and tea. They get around using these bikes with a roof and storage on it. They still work like a bike, you have to pedal to move. The only difference is that there is more storage and there is a roof on it. In South Asia, their main economic activity production is iron and coal. While the entire country of India are commercial farmers. With some manufacturing on the coasts.
